Cable replacement
Cable snapped or door off track? We put it right.
Two lift cables, one on each side, raise and lower your door. If one frays, slips off its drum or breaks, that side of the door drops or jams while the other side keeps going. The result is a door that hangs crooked, sticks partway or jumps out of its track.
Cables are connected to bottom brackets that carry the door's full weight under tension, so please don't try to unhook or pull on them. A technician can relieve the tension safely, replace the cable and drum, realign the door and check the tracks and rollers for damage.
Cable and track problems often come with other wear, such as worn rollers or a spring near the end of its life. We look at the whole door so you don't need another repair visit a few weeks later.

FAQ
Good questions. Straight answers.
Don't see yours? Call 919-669-3597 or send us a text.
Can I use my door with one broken cable?
No. The door can tilt, jam or fall. Stop using it and call us.
Why did my door come off the track?
Common causes are a broken cable, worn rollers, a bent track, or something hitting the door. We find the cause so it doesn't happen again.
Can you fix a bent track?
Often yes. Minor bends can be straightened. If the track is badly damaged we replace the section.
Do cable and spring problems happen together?
They can. Both carry the door's weight, so we always check the whole system.
